Motivation
Apple Watch fall detection features had recently come out and I was curious if it was possible to achieve similar performance using the accelerometer of a phone. This morphed into the eventual science fair idea presented above by also integrating other basic features (e.g. ability to call and set timers) with the idea that elderly people tend to prefer to deal with less apps, and this would allow everything to be condensed.
